This course attempts to provide a critical understanding of history and confront certain fundamental questions about history. Students will acquire a set of facts, concepts, and theories, which will enable them to better understand and evaluate their own existence. This course covers major events and trends in world history from ancient civilizations to the present time. The broad themes of intelllectual-cultural, political-diplomatic, and social-economic history form the basis of the course within that chronology.
